Ghost shadows of laurel and hardy near the lonesome pine is the latest painting, done in 2020 and is acrylic on card. Again in a Dali style with emptyish landscape, wispy clouds and cracked architecture. I used to love watching laurel and hardy when I was young and when I heard their song about the lonesome pine I imagined a scene such as this. Rather than trying to paint them I thought it better to show only their shadows, long and dark. Also included is another favorite prop, the birdtable as maybe made from pine wood? I think the tree looks quite lonesome in this landscape..
